I am building a cookbook-wike.
I am using tobias's rating plugin and want to use a custom icon instead of stars. I have made tiddler with a svg image of a chefs hat and transcluded that into $:/plugins/tobibeer/rate/template

<$list filter={{$:/plugins/tobibeer/rate/config/filter}}>
<div class="tc-rating-template">
<
<rate reset:"before:-" symbol:"{{$:/core/images/Chef_Hat}}">> <------------see here
</div>
</$list>

So far so god. The hats are there, BUT when presed they dont change colour and you cant see the rating (but the rating field gets correct number).

could it be because the plugin can't handle svg?

any ideas?

Hi HC Haase,

I am smiling a little, I tried the very same in my cookbook, and had no luck with the chef hat. But you can copy one of the cooking man emojis, they work.

If you find a solution for the hat only please tell.

You probably increase your chances of a useful answer if you provide links.

Here's one theory (totally guessing): Tobias plugin uses two different images, perhaps one named chef-hat and the other chef-hat-colored and the plugin uses the form "$image$-colored" somewhere.

Hi Mat,

It is done using opacity.

hmm I am wondering if opacity could be used on an image.
