Hey all,

If you go to tiddlywiki.com and click to make a new tiddler, the preview pane will be active by default. Unless I'm crazy, this wasn't always the case? This also the case on my recently upgraded wiki. How can I correct this?

Thanks,
Diego

I don't know what the default was in the past. But just turn off preview in any tiddler's edit pane, and after that new tiddlers will be made without the preview pane opened.

Hey all,

Sorry for posting about this in another thread. I am running TW through node and I am observing the following behavior:

Every time I close and reopen the browser window (not stop and start node) the preview pane is shown for tiddlers. I have confirmed the following:

  • $:/state/showPreview shows YES everytime I open a new a TW broswer window.
    • As far as I can tell, this is new to 5.1.16
  • Any changes to this (marking it NO) do NOT persist after closing/opening a window
    • I do not know if has always been the case.
It was recommended I now make a new startup action to set this tiddler to NO to solve this problem. Before I do this, I want to understand - is this behavior a bug?

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature. I had a version of 5.1.15 prerelease sitting around, so I tested on it. It had the opposite behavior -- no matter what your preview status, when you reloaded the TW the preview was deactivated.

Apologies, this was a bug in 5.1.16, it will be fixed in 5.1.17 shortly,

Best wishes

Jeremy.
