I messed up the config and now Page Controls is missing

I was editing my TiddlyWiki configuration and somehow messed it up. Now Page Controls are not visible.

How it should look.

I suspect that I have deleted some state tiddler or messed up the default theme.

Kindly guide me on how to fix it.

I fixed this issue. I was trying different themes. One theme had added a tiddler

$:/config/SideBarSegments/Visibility/$:/core/ui/SideBarSegments/page-controls

Removing this tiddler fixed the issue.

I am glad you solved it and shared back, a little additional info for you and future visitors to this thread.

  • Things appear in the side bar because of the $:/tags/SideBarSegment tag use `<<tag $:/tags/SideBarSegment>>` to create the pill
  • They appear in the Sidebar tabs because of the tag $:/tags/SideBar use `<<tag $:/tags/SideBar>>` to create the pill
  • Items will exist in the tag list in the tag pill even if they have a visibility of hide.
  • Some elements include the ability to toggle Visibility
    • Searching in advanced search > Shadows for "Visibility" will list shadow tiddlers with Visibility in the title
    • Searching in advanced search > System for "Visibility" will list system tiddlers with Visibility in the title, this is where you will find tiddlers that are not shadows (or exist in the standard distribution - although their functionality does.)
    • If the default visibility shadow tiddler is unedited it will be in bold
    • If it has being edited it will not be in bold, so you can quickly see if it varies from the default (Unless a package contained this in a plugin)
You can see in $:/config/SideBarSegments/Visibility/$:/core/ui/SideBarSegments/page-controls
  • It is made up from a prefix and then the tiddler name
  • Interestingly there is no shadow tiddlers with the prefix $:/config/SideBarSegments/Visibility/
  • Until you showed me I did not know these SideBarSegments visibility tiddlers existed.

Right. Surprisingly, docs did not have anything on this special config title. It is mentioned at only one place.
