Good idea, much could go into the Toolmap as well,

• Hide elements you can do without, like sidebar tabs that take time to refresh

• Reduce the number of items in the story for time dependant activities.
• If you have load performance issues use a splash screen

Somewhere there are references to the internal indexing available when filters are of particular forms.
