Hi all

I installed the Cherrypicker plugin and it is an awesome concept for me.

However i can not get it to work properly, it throws errors at me and also
dispays pfx: and txt: lines.

TO_CHECK
pfx:Filter error: Syntax error in filter expression
txt: Filter error: Syntax error in filter expression
Filter
rest:error: Syntax error in filter expression

Is the developer around here or can someone help me out here?

Thanks!!

Ray

Hi Ray. Happy you like the CherryPicker concept even if it, as noted on the site, has a few issues.
Currently it resides on the "deprecated" tiddlyspot server where it is not possible to make changes, but its owners have just released Tiddlyhost to replace it. My intention is to transfer my creations to Tiddlyhost eventually, and look over them for much needed updates. It is actually a huge project because many of them, including the CherryPicker, is many years old and a lot has improved in TW (and hopefully also my knowledge).
Without looking at your code I can't tell what causes the errors but I wouldn't be surprised if the code has problems with tiddler titles containing quotation marks (doubles or singles) in them so you could investigate this as a first step. Otherwise, if you post a wiki here, perhaps with some dummy content that causes the error, I'll take a look (but I won't be able to spend hours and hours on it).

By the way, fellow tiddleur Joshua Fontany has an ambitious PR that would enable similar things as the CherryPicker if it got into the TW core. Unfortunately I don't find the PR right now.

Great you want to help.
I downloaded an empty wiki and only installed cherrypicker.
That does not give me an error message bit shows this:

_CP_
pfx:This is a _CP_
txt: Cherrypicker test_CP_ that i want to test
image.png
Cherrypicker test
rest:that i want to test

I don't have ' or " in my titles, only / what i can see as non letter sign... (Also in Cherrypicker/Template visible)

I attach the empty wiki here so you can see it for yourself.

Thanks for helping me!

Ray

My goodness... those are debugging leftovers and certainly shouldn't be displayed. How embarrassing.
Luckily it was just to remove it in the code. This seems to work now, see attachment.

ehhh, well playing further with it i now also get as a result:

o Filter

(o = cherrypicker icon)

That is when i put the CP string in a journal.... in MY TW...
In the freshdownloaded TW it works normal....

When i make a new tiddler and put in there _CP_New Item_CP_ then it appears.

So looks like when _CP_ is in different type of tiddlers it has problems with that??

If you want i could send you my wiki??

Ray (Hope not being too much of a PITA :) )

Not sure what you mean with "different type of tiddlers". A journal tiddler should not be a problem - maybe you can test it in the file I posted above? Otherwise, sure, post your wiki. (If you want it via email, I can't post my address publicly but I think I can figure out yours based on  Ray Vermey <rayv...@gmail.com> ...which, BTW, probably not is good to use as ones signature.)
