Dear all
Are there any good examples for using TW as a tool for Habit Tracking or Mood Tracking. I'm trying to move most of my journaling exercises to TW.

Thanks in advance
Manish

There is Habito which is a todo list/habit tracker with gamification. Based on Habitica.
Also have a look on David's big list. There may be some resources on there that may be of use.

But it is also possible to build a personalised habit/mood tracker in tiddlywiki, depending on your needs.
For example, you could use the checkbox widget or radio widget to set data in fields of tiddlers, such as mood ratings.

Sorry, this reminds me of an old joke that I must share:

I bought my wife a mood ring.

Found out if she's in a good mood it turns green.

If she's in a bad mood it leaves a big red circle on my forehead.

I use TW precisely to track habits and mood.

If I am using TiddlyWiki to do something else, like take notes or be productive, I am happy and forming healthy good habits.

If I find I am tweaking the mechanics of TiddlyWiki once again, this shows I am frustrated and am acting in compulsive and unhealthy ways.

That's funny. Here I am "learning" about TW, but instead of building something with the pieces, I'm testing out the different plugins and tweaking minor irrelevant CSS things.

You mean there's other things you can use TW for? All that time I waisted!!!

This reminds me of an old joke... I spent last night joining all my wristwatches into a belt. It was a complete waist of time.

Manish,

I just wanted to add, while playing with Unicode Characters I saw a lot of emoticons, thinking perhaps one day of using these to set the icon, or another field on tiddlers that enable multiple emoticons would be a quick way to allow emotions to be set on tiddlers. A corresponding method to list tiddlers according to the emoticons assigned would also help.

Regards
Tones

I certainly agree we could innovate on "Tracking" toolology.

For instance a "toggle" button that selected a specific emoticon to express a state of being, as Tones implies.

Also, Mat, some time ago provided a proof of concept of using the SVG editor to annotate another SVG. For instance have an anatomical SVG of a typical  back and mark where the pain is.

I think the real point is to simply define what the needs are on "Tracking" and kick it about a bit more.

IMO TW is very well suited to develop the whole "Track my state" thing even better than it currently does.

Best wishes
TT

The Trilium project is similar to TW5, and also allows scripts within its note blocks. They have a weight tracker as part of their example. IIRC, one note has the code to the read the metadata of other notes (these are analogous to the fields on TW5), and then graph the weight over time.
