I would like to share a way to clip the contents of a webpage with the web clipper which allows you to save the desired part of a webpage as markdown. The experience of saving is similar to that of the EverNote clipper.

Here are the plugins you will need.


By saving it in markdown, the file size is much smaller than in HTML. However, one disadvantage of this method is that the images are not saved locally or on your own online gallery. The life of the images may be a concern.

I do a similar thing with "Copy selection as markdown" extension on Firefox.

My feeling is that some form of markdown will still be in use 10 years from now.
