Folks,

I have a wiki with a pile of svg's and images, which I include useful text with to permit searching.

Updated with JSON updated

Before I publish I would love some feedback

  • Please drag and drop the attached onto tiddlywiki.com or a wiki (ENsure backup)
  • There will be a sidebar tab and an advanced search tab created
  • Images can be opened or dragged and dropped on another tiddler
  • The Whole picker can be opened in a new window, try it with the supplied icon
Challenge remaining
With core tiddlers we may only want to copy the tiddler name
With svgs we may want to clone them and edit
  • How can I introduce the ability to select these different treatments open, drag and Drop, Copt title, clone and edit while only displaying the image?
Regards
Tony

Hi Tony!

I just made some trials!
It is great to be able to search in images and svgs!

The UI needs a little more polishing!

I like the Select Icon also written by yourself and can be found here in TW-Scripts

Also, the checkbox button for hide/show sidebar tab is positioned above advanced search which is seems not suitable.

Mohammad,

Thanks for the feedback.

I think I was inspired by select icon and since my main issue is browsing, installing and obtaining the tiddler name to include in designs I decided to solve it with a search.

I installed the favicons svg versions from http://fa5-free-svg.tiddlyspot.com/ and the name info was searchable.

Did you try the open in new window button?

Where do you suggest I put the check box? Below the images may never be found.

The UI needs a little more polishing!

Please do tell me what and how I may.

Thanks
Tony

Tony,

every image is presented in fixed size box and it is beautiful and looks organized!
the checkbox can go into a setting tiddler!

Yes, I have seen it before from morosanuae. It is amazing specially the export feature at the sidebar

Did you try the open in new window button?
It works for me!

Mohammad,

At your suggestion I have updated the tiddler $:/PSaT/imageSearch/ListImageTemplate from the package to;
<span class="tc-image-chooser">
<$link to={{!!title}}>
<$transclude/>
</$link>
</span>

It does look a lot better!

I think I will have a go at making a modal setting tiddler to
the checkbox can go into a setting tiddler!

Interesting you like the export feature in http://fa5-free-svg.tiddlyspot.com/ . I prefer the drag and drop.

Minor but currenttiddler is default for linkwidget so

<$link to={{!!title}}>
<$transclude/>
</$link>

can be written

<$link>
<$transclude/>
</$link>

Folks,

To keep the groups topics clear, I have another interesting Idea that works well. So you may like to look at this attachment.

Test it on tiddlywiki.com, The example I use is a simple yet to be finished button for the view toolbar to copy the text field of the current tiddler. What I demonstrate here is about the distribution method.
  • Download it then drag and drop it on a wiki. Import, then open it.
  • Then interestingly you get a chance to decide which elements to import.
  • Select import and it works as a macro/button right away, no refresh required even on the existing version of tiddlywiki (no JS in tiddlers)
  • Note how the *.import tiddler remains as a record of the tiddlers installed, in its name, this will result in advice if you load it again
Interesting?

Tony
