Hello,
I published a new Version of MetaTabs for managing metainformation like references/footnotes, tasks, presentations, ideas, and notes related to tiddlers.

It now is independent of the appear-plugin and has a language Tiddler which makes it easier to make a version in your language.

I still need some help to implement a function which should display footnotes which are in the wikitext which I saw at http://tiddlystuff.tiddlyspot.com/#Idea%20for%20a%20footnote%20filter.  Gurus willing to helb press the recent-issues-button on the my welcome Tiddler at http://slidesnstories.tiddlyspot.com/

MetaTabs can be tested and downloaded on http://slidesnstories.tiddlyspot.com/.

For those who did not read the first thead:
Meta is
inspired by MagicTabs and Tiddlyscholar by Alberto Molina Pérez, which is a very elaborated tool for researchers which shows a row of useful Metalinks at the bottom of each Tiddler.
I wanted to change the behaviour to make it show buttons only if the links exist.
The result is a lightweigt-alternative which just consists of

  • a view-template,
  • a button to activate it  ,
  • some templates to add different types of information. (Idea, Note, Task, Index-item, reference)

Cheers and Thanks
Jan

Hej Birthe,
Menge Tak for den dansk version.
I uploaded it and it helped me find the forgotten phrases to replace when testing it the way you suggested.
Thanks a lot for the idea witch the prefix-filter, I will copy that.

Dankeschön...und bis bald.

Hi Jan,

I started all over with you latest version and tiddlyclip added http://faneklip.tiddlyspot.com
I can chose to have the clip tagged Notiz, then it is easy to add field source.

Your new version is great, not having to use appear and workarounds to toggle sidebar (making wiki dirty) is just one of the things. Huge benefit to be able to sort notes.

Hi Jan,

Not being able to do anything about the footnote problem, I just had to play with something else.

I would like to be able to create the new tiddlers silently and tested Matabeles action-maketid http://maketid.tiddlyspot.com/

In my old danish version http://fanegal.tiddlyspot.com/#Silent%20tiddlers%3F
You can try it for ideas and notes.
I seemt to work, but we do not see the new titlers in sidebar tab recent.

Hi Birthe,
I made a test at fanegal, your silent creation seems to work well.
The Tiddlername gets a suffix with Title and Date in order not to have to think to long about the name when doing notes.
Therefore I like creating the tiddlers visible to remove this and do some more fine-tuning.

We could a newnote-Template with a reveal-switch to choose between buttons for visible and invisible creation.

Yours Jan
