Rearranger-Tool to reorder the story. Comments and Collaboration appreciated...

I made a Tool called rearranger to reorder the story...it can be found here http://rearranger.tiddlyspot.com/

After pressing the "rearrange Order" Button in the Rearranger you will get a list which you can reorder by drag-and-drop and then load as new storylist

The Rearranger needs the following Tiddlers: * the Rearranger itself, * a Tiddler called ReArrange containing a taglist and the "load"-button... * BJ's drag-and-drop Pluginhttp://bjtools.tiddlyspot.com/, $:/plugins/bj/drag-and-drop.

Issues/ToDo

Sidebar Tab

The rearranger creates a tab in the sidebar called "order", which unluckily does not show the Tiddlers transcluded in the Rearranger yet. I can't figure why because they appear in the tiddler...

clear Listfield

It would be useful to clear the listfield in the ReArranger, together with the other actions when pressing "apply new order". Somehow all my attempts killed the whole button...

Latency

Sometimes when you drag a tag, the draggable-bubbles take some time to appear, be patient...

Styling

The rearrange-Mode could look more grovy.

I am thankfull for propositions and Tipps for the issues...

Hello Jan,

I tested the rearranger, and found out that using {{Rearranger}} in a tiddler named Order tagged with " $:/tags/SideBar " can show all the contents of Rearranger on the sidebar, instead of putting Rearranger directly onto the sidebar. Since I am not a programmer and have little knowledge about the code language in TW, I am not sure whether it is the right answer.

Hi Jan,

I put {{Rearranger}} at the end of the tiddler Stories in storysaver.json and they can work together under one tab on the sidebar.

Jan - assuming I understand your intentions right; Rearranging the display order of the river tiddlers by reordering their titles in the sidebar instead of in the actual river is a brilliant idea that I've just never considered! I always imagined dragn'dropping actual open tiddlers... which would mean across potentially multiple viewports... so using the sidebar lists will be superior in practice! Hope your implementation really gets good, the feature has been missing a long time!

Thanks so much. I desired this since I switched to TW5 and I was very happy when I found BJ's Code that is doing the trick...I think it now could need a Design that tells about the possibility, like tagpills or so.
BTW my next project is inspired by your sideEditor which allso has a very big potential to enhance TW.

I did not se any tiddler ReArranger, you have Rearranger and ReArrange. The list field is in ReArrange and you will remove the field from tiddler Rearranger.
