Hi!
I use the Tiddlywiki for my research notes and I absolutely love it.
A great feature would be to log log my working hours and to indicate them and working hour beyond regular work per day, month, year to get an overview.
I have not found any plugins which are providing that Is it even possible?

Greetings,
K0ertis

I am assuming that you are using TiddlyWiki 5
It is possible but at the moment there isn't much in the way of math plugins for tiddlywiki. I have made some basic things here and Tobias made a calc macro here. There may be some others that I am not familiar with. There is also the socialcalc plugin you could look at. This does sound like something that could be useful to a pretty wide audience and may be a good candidate for a plugin or edition.

I am in the middle of moving and have way too many projects as it is, but I may look at this once I get settled in Paris. If you have any more specific idea of what you want that would help a lot.

Oh yeah, sorry -- I am currently using Tiddly Wiki 5. This sounds really great, when I have time I'll provide you with some ideas! Good luck with the moving!

Hi again!

I looked today at SocialCalc and it is really a nice feature. I already have a table of contents with year, month and journal to describe my daily research. The SocialCalc has the nice feature to reference from a other tiddler. I will make me a template which I add on every month to log my daily work hours. At the beginning of the year (table of contents) I will add a summary of the worked months as overview.

Thanks for the hint!

Greetings,

Wayyyy behind the eightball here, as I'm only now digging into TW5 — but I've been tracking my work hours by hand in TWC for years.  (I create a journal tiddler for each day and log the times I clock in and out in a simple table in the upper right corner of the day.  I keep a running total for the week, which I cut and paste into the next day's tiddler each morning.  At the end of the week, I put my hours worked into a tiddler that has listings for each week of the year.)

A plugin that allows some simple, user-directed calculations could revolutionize how I keep track of that, shaving off a minute of mental math each day.  (That doesn't sound like much, but that's a few hours less I'd be recording each year!  :P  )

While it is probably much more than you want, and doesn't do dates or times I made some simple math things here. Tobias made a much simpler javascript macro that can do some math stuff here.
I made some quick macros for manipulating dates here.

Well I tried something with SocialCalc last days and (as you said) it its not possible to calculate negative dates/ times, so it is futile. Thank you for your work, I will look at it at the next couple days.
