Tabbed view?

I last used TiddlyWiki about 7 years ago. Then I had been using a custom design from Giffmex that had a tabbed view for the tiddlers.

Is there a way to do this on TW5? Has someone built a version especially focused on tabbed browsing? I'm basically looking for something that would have tabs like web pages open in a browser.

Ideally I would want to be able to go from tiddler to tiddler while keeping the scroll position of each, just like web pages are when you go from tab to tab in a browser. Or is this something that just isn't possible in TW?

Should I just give up on this and get used to the stream of tiddlers and use the "open" menu? Unfortunately since my old wiki is 2.4.3 it seems that it can't be upgraded to 5.

No matter the version number, I do not think you could upgrade from a tiddlywiki classic wiki directly.

You might want to try the new Krystal view: https://crazko.github.io/krystal/

This is not exactly a tabbed view, but one I find very appealing. It creates a horizontal river instead of a vertical one. That allows you to open multiple tiddlers side-by-side and maintain the scroll position on each. You can open several tiddlers this way and horizontally scroll across them. It's very similar to https://notes.andymatuschak.org/About_these_notes, if you're familiar with his setup.

One other suggestion would be the Stories plugin by Saq: https://giffmex.org/stroll/stroll.html#%24%3A%2Fplugins%2Fsq%2FStories. This is not a true tabbed view, and only allows two lanes. However, it does allow you to easily create two vertical streams with independent scrolling of one another. If I'm not using Krystal, I lean heavy on this plugin for usability.

Again, these aren't true tabbed views, but they may get at some of the functionality you mentioned.

Any other ideas are most welcome. I tried TiddlersBar, which I liked, but the tabs started overlapping the tiddler. Otherwise, I probably liked TiddlersBar a bit more.
