Would a meetup in England sometime around September 1st work?

I know this is probably short notice for this. Because of visa weirdness I am going to be visiting England for a day or two sometime around September 1st and I was wondering if there is any interest in organizing a meetup.

I'm travelling at the moment but wanted to jump in to say that I should be delighted to meet up near the 1st. Unfortunately I'm not free on Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th, but am around the week before and after. Probably easiest to meet in London, but very happy to welcome people to Oxford if that's practical.

Everyone:

I deleted Rainbow's original post, which was oddly racist in tone.  It refers to the "Clan" (sic) and "Brotherhood" and uses insulting racial terms ("B**ies and "P**ies").  My initial reaction was to summarily *ban* this user from the group, but after checking on his posting activity, I see that his other posts were "normal" TiddlyWiki questions and responses, so I simply deleted his offending post.

The questions Rainbow asked ("what is this meeting for?  who can attend?") were valid, but the words he used were unnecessarily offensive.  If this was meant as humor, it missed the mark by several thousand miles!  Quite frankly, the original poster should be ASHAMED of the words they used and should APOLOGIZE to the group!  

I have reposted Jeremy's response to Rainbow WITHOUT quoting the original post.

I have been busy this past week and completely forgot about this. The weekend of the 12th should work well for me. I don't have any opinion as far as London vs Oxford goes so if anyone else has a reason to go one way or the other that would be good. I also don't know where a good location would be. I assume that a local college or library would have space. Is there someone in London who knows of a place we could meet? Or should we meet in Oxford and hopefully use wherever Jeremy had the previous meetup?

I conclude that you are not anymore near Paris ;)

It's to short for me to plan something in September or October, but if I'm sad to can't contribute and see you !

Oh, no. I am in Paris until at least next spring. I have to leave the Schengen Area so that I officially switch from the short term tourist visa to my student visa.
