So how do I exclude tiddlers from showing up as orphans? I have a lot of tiddlers that are never going to appear with direct links (TOC item for example). What I've been doing is creating an ignore tiddler with direct links to all, but that seems... well, kludgy.

I tried tagging a few tiddlers with excludeLists, but they still show up in More / Orphans and when I do searches. I kind of want them to show up in searched, because otherwise how will I edit them when needed, but I don't want to see them on the orphan tab.

I don't want to rename them all with $:/ because i need those titles as is. Is my kludge really the only way to do it?

Thanks,
A

Hi,

excludeLists is a TWclassic term. It doesn't exist for TW5

So if you want to "hide" configuration tiddlers form ordinary users. you'll need to make them SystemTiddlers which start with $:/

That doesn't really matter. It's the way it has to be done. ... With TWclassic we saw all the excludeXXXX tags caused way more problems as they solved.

Then my kludge is it. Thanks for clarification.

not a solution, but instead of using a tag to use for being ignored in lists, you can use the tag for all tiddlers that would go into your ignore tiddler (kludge) and let a filter/list widget build and automatically update that tiddler for you.
