Hi all

Default on creating a new tiddler is that the cursor is in the tiddler title or that the tiddler title text is selected.

Would it be possible to set TW so that the cursor is at the starting position of the text field, even if there is other text in the text field?

Use case: most of my tiddlers in one of my files are notes with source information. I have a new journal button that gives me a date time stamp for the title, and the text field inserts text from another field that goes after the note. I could save a lot of time if when creating a new note I don't need to actively click on the text field in the right place but just start typing.

Any ideas?

This feature has already been added to 5.1.22 (which is currently "pre-release" status)

Open the $:/ControlPanel Info/Basics tab.  Scroll down to find setting for "Default focus field for new tiddlers"

Note that although it says "for new tiddlers", it also applies when editing existing tiddlers.
