[TWC] 2.8.1 TableSortingPlugin not working

Hi all,

the plugin doesnt work as per above

I dloaded a clean wiki & example  http://example1m.tiddlyspot.com/
does work in earlier versions but not in 2.8.1

any help appreciated

This appears to work perfectly for me. (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Windows 8)

You sure you're not seeing remnants of your selections when you edit the Tiddler and save it? When you edit the entry it retains your selected sorting option from what you had before. It's only when you load it for the first time that the autosort kicks in.

I can confirm the tablesortingplugin works BUT

if I copy the example into a new tiddler
save
reload
the example doesnt work (but does still in the plugin details)

my understanding is I only need the tablesortingplugin and should work (plugin example works, but not in new tiddler)

anything I'm missing?

Sorry, really not seeing it here. Well the example you posted above was straight out of the plugin. if you enter autosort thus:

|Name <<autosort>> |Salary |Extension |Performance |File Size |Start date |h

It displays in the sorted order. Each time you re-load the tiddler (click off the recent timeline entry) in switched the sort order.

Is it because you may be adding autosort *before* the named column?

I tried the <<autosort>> in various places to confirm, still didnt work

the plugin example works
so why not when copied to a new tiddler, save, reload?

page doesnt throw up any error message
nothing changed should mean same example should work

when I click on the TableSortingPlugin example (column chages color and little arrow appears in heading)
when I click on the new tiddler example (nothing happens)

I appreciate your assist

Well it works for me on every browser I've tried, so it must be something specific to you. What are you using?

thanks for confirming it works for you on all browsers.

penny dropped & I tested on same browser & example in my WIN10 game machine, WORKED :)
but doesnt on my LINUX machine :(

now I'll do some more test and see if I can work out why
else give up on it working in LINUX
