There are options to open links above or below the current tiddler, but there is not -- to my knowledge -- the option to create new tiddlers from the new here button and for the new tiddler to be created above.

The screen movie show current state of affairs.

Questions

It it possible to add the option for new-here to have the option of opening above?
Is it a quick hack or a job for a TiddlyMaster?

Hi Alex,

It seems those settings only apply to "link" activation. ...
IMO this is a feature request.

---------------

tm-new-tiddler handling uses different rules. It uses a parameter: navigateFromTitle ... BUT if the param is added it is ignored. ... Which is a _different_ bug.

Thanks Mario,

If it's "feature request" - what are the next steps?

You wrote:

Does you mean that tm-new-tiddler doesn't have the complexity to handle the requested behaviour?

Its interesting ---- the clone button opens the new tiddler  above the original, see movie

I can see a logic here. If something is tagged with the title of a tiddler, it is below it in a hierarchy.

But cloning is not a level up, its at the same level

Bottom Up.

I think that what I am looking for is to "build up" in the creative part of a cycle of activity, then, see the hiechay displayed top down.

Create bottom up, review top down

Hello all,

Iv'e started a new wiki, the same issue is annoying me.

I want to build hierarchies and for the "new here" button to create a new tiddler above the current tiddler.

Mario (above) suggests this is a feature request ... is this problem easier than it was before? Or is it a "live with it" kind of thing??

best wishes

Alex

@AlexHough

I actually closed this github issue where what you ask for was one part of the request. I closed it because nobody seemed to care about and that I had lost interest in it. If the issue were to be rephrased to match your specific request, it would be:

Extend the power of the Tiddler Opening Behaviour (i.e "navigation from within the story river") to apply also to "new here"

Maybe you want to create a gh request for it?
