I know that I can add photos one after another.
Can I add photos to appear in a grid? Can I add photos to appear in a slideshow?

Jed mentioned his PhotoGallery which is very good, especially if you want "gallery" plus slide show.
You might also want to look at "muuri" by BTC which is not a gallery system but is a sophisticated grid system for Tiddlers that could serve that purpose. Its a "work-in-progress" but is well worth a look. http://muritest.tiddlyspot.com/ to get an idea. There is also a "touch" version at http://muritest-reloaded.tiddlyspot.com/

@Mohammad - these look great! I especially like the hoverable photos.
@Josiah - this are sweet. Is it possible to get muuri or something that allows drag and drop for a one-column gallery?
Additionally, are there any toolbar buttons that allow me to send a tiddly to the top of the column?

Muuri supports drag and drop to allow you to rearrange tiddlers.
You can change the number of columns by keeping clicking the number in the toolbar....

It wasn't working for me when it was down to 1 column.

Its not perfected. Its work-in-progress, not a finalised tool. Maybe BTC will see the thread and comment.
Its potential is great. But development takes time.
