Bob - syncing tid files on WIndows 10

Hi there,

Not sure what I've done to upset the apple-cart. I used to be 'two way sync' my tid files, however if I change a file externally it doesn't change in the browser.

My setup is

Firefox v 79.0 64 bit
Windows 10
Tiddlywiki v 5.1.22
Bobs latest version.

Hoping for suggestions...

I'm using Bobwin.exe 1.6.0b1.

In an attempt to track down my problem with syncing, I copied Bobwin.exe to a new directory. After running it, I created a new Empty edition wiki.

When I now create a New Tiddler I'm getting a red warning at the bottom of the page saying 'Warning connection to server hasn't been established yet.'

Other info: bob is serving on 0.0.0.0:8080

Bob saver server running on 127.0.0.1:61192.

Are other users having similar problems with windows and Bob?

Aha!

I think I've a partial win. It looks like Bob now 'does not like' a wiki's with a space in it's name and I've managed to sync changes made to a file from an external editor.

I've tested changing the setting (in the settings.json file) "namespacedWikis" to "true" and also tried it with "yes" but this does not help.

I hope this helps anyone else with this problem in a similar working environment.

I have done some testing and this is a bug that doesn't just affect windows, there is something that prevents the websocket connection when there are spaces in the wiki name.

I thought I had fixed this bug, but something in how I updated the websockets connection seems to have broken it again. I will find a fix so wikis with spaces in their names can work again in the next release.

Is this the best way to report any issues relating to Bob or do you have a preferred method?

I have noticed this as well, but spaces in wiki names was OK prior because I created and used them. Perhaps this helps

Now I can open these wikis but at the bottom I see

WARNING: The connection to server hasn't been established yet.

The save just does not happen automatically or manually, and nothing appears on the console.
