Sorry if offtopic

Haven't been using tiddlywiki for long and have restarted several days ago. Unfortunately i am having troubles saving the embpy.html file The save function is not saving the file... every time when opening the closed file it is empty again and has nothing inside from the work previously done. I am using latest Firefox 65 and tdwiki 5.1.19

I am unsure what the current solution for firefox is, my advice for you is to use tiddlydesktop. https://tiddlywiki.com/#TiddlyDesktop
(The only downside is that there is no search function in it like there is in most browsers. But with the codemirror plugin you can search within tiddlers to locate things.)
When I use firefox, the saving function (without any firefox plugin) works by saving a new html file every time. (So the original stays the same and a new one is created with the modifications)

Hi,

The solution is to make Firefox to ask always where to save, then it works.

As a new user this took me long period to figure this out :o (3 months?), now when this done maybe I can start using the software lol. Without save tutorials I might have figured it one day.

To simply save on Firefox install the Timimi addon

It has two parts (one the FF addon and the other is a small system specific package)

Good luck
