Happy holidays to you all!

Maybe you find the time to check out my newest hack: http://tid.li/tw5/hacks.html#TweetTesting

After a click on a Tweet-button, the tweet macro suggests a text to tweet. The next click opens Twitter and hands over the text to tweet.

Parameters (all optional)

  • text: what you want people to tweet
  • label: text for the initial tweet button
  • tooltip: text to display when the pointer hovers over the initial tweet button (button title)
  • close: text for the button that closes the suggested tweet
All the best!
Thomas

I did a quick successful test of this interesting idea and am looking forward to seeing how I might use it during the holidays.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you all for the feedback I allready received, primarily via Twitter!

There is some additional info on the history and the solution here: http://twitter.com/BeaBonobo/status/812272527854673920

If anyone has the time to adapt for other networks*, feel free and ask me, if you need support!

For people who like to social network this is one of the best innovations for yonks.

It shows HOW to post via correctly encoded URL mechanisms to social networks. the demo works flawlessly for Twitter.

But its even more than that in demonstrating the core mechanisms involved in HOW you can use URLs in general to do things.

Hats off!

Back when I made my twitter plugin I looked at google plus and Facebook. They may have gotten better but google plus didn't offer anything usable then and the documentation for Facebook was completely unusable so after a day or two of trying to figure it out I gave up on them. Now I like twederation better anyway :p.
