I'm having a weird problem.  I have to run my TW (2.8.1) as an HTA file in order to get around some network issues I won't bore you with.  The problem I run into is that when I click "edit" to edit a tiddler, I get "Could not complete the operation due to error 800a025e".  I did some reading on this and got the impression it has to do with text boxes and highlighting or something along those lines.  I also noticed something odd.  When I edit a small tiddler (not very much text in it) I don't get the error but it highlights a lot of the text on the screen for some reason (not the content of the tiddler, but different parts of the page).  I only get the 800a025e error when I try to edit a fairly large tiddler.  Has anyone encountered this or have any ideas to try?  I am at a loss and would greatly appreciate any help.

I assume this means you are using Internet Explorer.  What version?

Also, what plugins do you have installed?

Can you reproduce the problem in an empty TW document?

Thanks for repying, Eric :) :)

I am using IE 10

I have ConfirmExitPlugin and TiddlyLockPlugin but I have tested with a brand new empty TW file and ran into the same problem.  I did notice today that an XP machine I have works with it fine but the two windows7 machines I tried encounter this same issue with error 800a025e

Hmm.... have you tried an empty document *NOT* using the .hta trick?  (just something to eliminate)

The problem definitely only presents itself when I am using it as a .hta -- unfortunately I haven't been able to get it to save properly on a shared network drive without using it as an .hta.

I was getting the same error whilst using TW Classic as an HTA. Solution: Run it in compatability mode by adding the following line just after <head> in your TW file:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=9" />
