This is a tool I came up with awhile ago. I don't use it as much as I hoped simply because TW5 is too slow on my ~5 year old devices. But it might work for others.

One of the problems with customizing TW5 is that the entire page might disappear as you erase and type in new numbers for font's, widths, heights. One of the things this tool does is to allow you to flick between usable values without passing through the valley of minuscule font sizes.

Moreover, once you find sizes that work for you, you can save them into a tiddler for restoration later. This allows you to jump between phones, tablets, and desktops without spending a lot of time with adjustments.

One of the compromises I had to make to make this possible is that width sizes go in jumps of 10px. Otherwise the scrolling list would have been massive. But you can change this if you want to pump in all the numbers ;-)

Be sure to make a backup. Then just download the attached JSON and then drag and drop it into your TW5 at the green bar. Import. Open tiddler "Quick Customize 8" to make your settings changes. It comes with a setting that is close to the stock TW5 default sizes if you don't like the way your system looks. Can't guarantee that it's *exactly* the current defaults. It comes with a couple of other settings that happen to work with my tablet, with mods for use with and without the sidebar. You might find them a good starting point for your own customizations.

As usual, use at your own risk. In the event of your capture, hard drive failure, or apocalypse, the State department will disavow all knowledge of TW5 (honest, they will).

Ciao Mark S.

I now see the purpose of using the word "Restore". If fact it does two things, right? Either applies a saved settings set, OR undoes changes when you are working on one?

Very neat. Small comment ... I think "Apply" would be better than "Restore" as restore implies reversion.

Best wishes
