(Probably) A simple tabs question

 I have set of  tiddlers whose content is generated through a template,

<$list filter="[tag{!!title}]">
<<currentTiddler>><br>
</$list>
^^[[module template]]^^
</$list>

The content does not show when I call the tiddlers via the tabs macro

<<tabs "[tag[modules]]">>

What am I doing wrong? Feels like a transclusion kind of error...
