Hi all

Is there a way to configure a toc macro so that the default state of every item is open, rather than collapsed?

The reason I ask is that I find the current setup of the macro to be confusing and frustrating - items that have no children are given an icon that does not communicate whether the item in question has children or not, so the user has to take the time to open every item to be sure he or she is not overlooking something that may or may not be hidden.

Yet I would like the ability to close as needed. Therefore I do not necessarily want the regular toc option.

Thanks in advance, Dave

There is also the toc-selective-expandable too macro that only shows the arrow if there are children, would that work?

Oh, I did not realize that was one of the features of that version of the macro. That should do it. Thanks!
