Hi everybody,

My right side page toolbar does no anymore stay at the top of the screen but looks "anchored at the top of the story river". At a given moment, I lost this feature and did not manage to recover it. As for now, the right side "page toolbar" and the
story column does not act seperatly when scrolling so that the right side toolbar is always out of the screen when I am not at the top of the story river. I tried many things but cannot figure out what it did to remove this problematic behaviour... any hints ?

any helps appreciated,
peuhp

Hi,

did you check the Sidebar-Layout option at the ControlPanel > Appearance > Themen Tweaks ?

Best regards

Thks for you answer.
Yes I tried to change it but switching from one to another of the two options has not any effect (even after saving and reloading).

Could you please post the content of $:/core/ui/PageTemplate/sidebar ? What happens if you import your whole TW into a new empty one?

Here is the content of $:/core/ui/PageTemplate/sidebar:

"
<$scrollable fallthrough="no" class="tc-sidebar-scrollable">

<div class="tc-sidebar-header">

<$reveal state="$:/state/sidebar" type="match" text="yes" default="yes" retain="yes" animate="yes">

<h1 class="tc-site-title">

<$transclude tiddler="$:/SiteTitle" mode="inline"/>

</h1>

<div class="tc-site-subtitle">

<$transclude tiddler="$:/SiteSubtitle" mode="inline"/>

</div>

{{||$:/core/ui/PageTemplate/pagecontrols}}

<$transclude tiddler="$:/core/ui/SideBarLists" mode="inline"/>

</$reveal>

</div>

</$scrollable>
"

sorry for my but lack of skills but what is the process to perform the whole import ?

Thks in advance,
P.

Hi,

no probs. I'm new to TW5 too.

To import whole TW5 only drag and drop your TW5 file into the browser with a new opened TW5-empty:

0.) Backup your TW5-file

1.) Download empty TW5

2.) Open empty TW5-file in browser

3.) Drag & Drop your TW5 into the empty TW5-file

Your $:/core/ui/PageTemplate/sidebar looks like the original one.

Thks I tried but I get the same problem with the newly imported version. I also tried to disable all plugins but the problem remains. My current guess is that it comes from somewhere in a css file but I do not manage to find where ...
Thks for what you tried :)

Maybe you should inspect the elements of your TW5 with your browser tools. In my opinion it is the best method if any CSS is corrupt. Use Chrome or Firefox for this.

Have you made your browser window wider? If the browser window gets thinner, the sidebar will move to the top. Which is why I made my river width and sidebar with a percent, so they expand and contract according to the browser window size, and the sidebar always stays on the side (mostly).

I show a screenshot of how I did it here.

Thks but it, unfortunately, does not solve my problem. However as far as I tried, changing my parameters e.g. Story width/sotry width or tiddler width has stricly no effet on the display. Do you think it is possible than these parameters are overwritten somewhere else ? if so which are the parameters to look for ?

thks for your help,
P.
