links not saving

Hi There,

I have a problem with saving any notes on my TiddlyWiki, every time I add a new note, save changes, and re open the page I do not see the new notes I added. Is it because there is a new version of TiddlyWiki or Firefox and they are not compatible? I can't find a newer version of Tiddly that I can reinstal. I am using 60.1.0Firefox.

I hope it is a common problem easily fixed... Any suggestions would be much much much appreciated as most of my PhD notes are saved here and I want to continue using it as my Notes hub.

Did you just recently upgrade FireFox? What method were you using for saving?

Sometime around FF 54 TiddlyFox stopped working due to changes with FireFox web extensions.

The TW community rallied around and there are now 20 alternative save solutions mentioned in the GettingStarted tiddler at TiddlyWiki.com.

There's also a new approach provided by forum member Riz that comes very close to providing the original TF functionality:

You could give file-backups plugin a try: see: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/file-backups/

There is a limitation, that is introduced by "improved" browser security settings:

 - It only allows you to save to the browser downloads folder or a subfolder ...
