Say if i had more than one tiddler and i had some action items or quoted text in those tiddlers.
How could i get all the action items or quoted test in those tiddlers ( basically looking up the data based on its importance )

One way  i think of is create a separate tiddler for each item that deserves to be an action items / quoted text and tag it so that we could get all the items tagged .

Are there any other ways ?

Hi Nag Y

I would recommend – as you suggest – to create one tiddler per item and tag them.

Maybe you add user-defined fields on the tiddlers, e.g. for priorities or due dates of tasks. (action items in your words?)

TiddliWiki offers very powerful list- and filter-functions for tiddlers.

I pesonnally expanded a bit on this concept with my ToDo-list. You can check it out on http://tid.li/tw5/hacks.html#ToDoNow or get the plugins from http://tid.li/tw5/plugins.html if you like it ;–)

Good luck!
Thomas

At the moment, this appears to be the only (standard) way to do it, to have each related bit be its own tiddler. From a data point of view this also quite makes sense but requires a lot more (willingness and abilities for) design and setup.

With TiddlyWiki5 we have not yet been willing or able to parse (hidden) "sections" out of tiddlers, something that was a quite basic, powerful and hence an often used technique in classic TiddlyWiki.

Best wishes,

Tobias.
