Folks,

I just wanted to let you know I recent wrote a Document where there were two protagonists, one Alice and the Other Bob. What I discovered
was it reads differently if you swap the Female with the male, giving an interesting perspective on social expectations, So this is what I did, I replaced Alice with {{a}} and Bob With {{b}} and then with in each of those I created the fields p1 and P2 for personal pronouns and gave "a" p1 of she and a p2 of her and in "b" a p1 of he and a p2 of him.

So with a search and replace I changed the text to use the transcludions {{a}}  {{a!!p1}} {{a!!p2}} and {{b}}  {{b!!p1}} {{b!!p2}}

Now by modifying tiddlers a and b I can see if my text is gender less

An interesting exercise in uncovering our own biases.

Regards
Tony

Perfect, especially if you're looking at dialogue where the actors will not be set but will vary depending upon situational circumstances.

Barro,

Yes, including the personal pronouns is powerful, because changing sex does raise interesting differences, differences that expose gender bias. I could imagine "toggling" the genders of multiple characters to achieve the greatest effect after writing the content.
