Is there a way to upgrade to 5.1.18 in Bob, or do we wait for a new Bob release that includes that?

I tried replacing the Bob executable I had with the latest one (was same version number but a tad bigger), but <<version>> still says 5.1.17

I haven't gotten around to it yet. I should have time to update the executable version either sunday or sometime next week. If you use the plugin version than you can just update tiddlywiki normally.

I am in the middle of adding access controls to Bob so my development branch isn't ready to be released and that makes working with the update awkward until it is finished.

Or to actually answer your question, there isn't a way to change the version in the executable so you will have to wait for the next one unless you want to compile it yourself. And I have been bad about actually releasing what I make in a timely manor for the past few weeks and forgot to bump the version number.

Thanks, I'll just wait

I've been using the executable version for a month or so and quite like it (thanks again for making it...)

Other than this upgrading thing, are there any other compelling reasons to use the plugin version instead?

It is easier to make sure I haven't included any malicious code to steal your christmas lists if you use the plugin version.

But if you are comfortable with that and don't want to modify or audit Bob it is just a matter of personal preference.

Lol! Do I need to verify you?
