Folks,

I am building a Tiddler Disposition tool, based around dates, when a tiddler is cancelled or completed I want to stop it appearing in lists. Unless specifically asked for.

Of course I can build my own equivalent function and ensure my listings exclude such tiddlers, but this will not impact normal lists, however is there an equivalent to TWC's excludeLists tag?

If not does anyone know how to implement it?

Thanks in advance
Tony

One Idea I just had was to Rename cancelled or completed tiddlers to system tiddlers eg $:/closed/tiddlername $:/canceled/tiddlername

Any better ideas?

There is a reason, why "excludeLists", "excludeMissing", "excludeSearch" and "SystemConfig" are not part of TW5 anymore. ... They only cause problems!!

have fun!

I think one very important part here is: "Unless specifically asked for"

So everytime, we disable something by default, we also need to introduce the opposite function, because "sometimes we want it back" ...

I think your "add a system prefix" is a sensible approach. Especially as we have the <<tree>> [1] macros since 5.1.15 which give as nice overview of "name spaces"
