5 Volunteers Needed | Kids Fishing Derby on Lake Audubon (Reston)

I have clients on the 17th so I'm posting here for some of the Reston folks. If not a resident, I'm sure you'll be able to fish the shorelines of Audubon and Thoreau that day after.

On Saturday, June 17 from 9:30 to 11:30, we are hosting a Kids Fishing Derby on Lake Audubon. Any chance you or one of your fishing buddies could volunteer to help the kids? They will be 3-15 years old and many do not have fishing experience. Their parents will be with them, but they often don’t have any fishing skills either.

A guy landed a rainbow trout in Audubon on Saturday.

Can't do it this year Rob, sorry. Was he targeting trout in Audubon :) May have been an escapee from the snake den...

Yes, rainbows do find their way into Lake Audubon. I caught one there in April on a spinnerbait that I was using to target bass.
