Revenge against carp!

Hey -- another great day with Bethy on the water!  We were able to locate some feeding carp and I managed to hook 4, land 2.  Both ran out a large amount of line and wore me out immensely!  I was so happy to finally catch carp on fly tackle, which is a LOT of fun.  I also managed another snakehead as well....he's in the tub again.  Hoping to eat some fried NSH once the filet knife recharges.  I can't clean a fish, but she says "NSH is nowhere near as nasty as cleaning rabbits" and I'll take her word for it. 

 

Beth hooked a MONSTER, solid black NSH on UL 4-pound mono and he managed to break her off after about 5 minutes.  Probably will need some heavier tackle for the next one.  She says it's the biggest fish she's every hooked, period. 

 

I hope everyone's Memorial Day was excellent! 

 

I need a shower and some advil.
