With the warmer weather is it worthwhile to fish gravelly point around now? Anyone try recently? Thanks!

I was actually thinking the same thing.  The thing we have to remember is that even thought the air temp. is warmer, the water temperature hasn't changed much and (as I was informed about this late last night)  when the water temperature gets below 42*, most of the stripers have moved out of the area.

It sure wasn't worth going to Widewater on the C&O, water still quite cold. Not a total loss: I got a couple of lethargic follows and a good walk. Was also approached by a fellow from Yorkshire in the UK now working/living this side of the pond who asked about the local fishing. Gave him a card with TPFR.org written on the back and told him to check it out the board and come to a Beer Tie sometime. I'll be damned if I can remember his name.
