Four Mile Run Cleanup 5.31

I met some volunteers last week who were cleaning up around the Four Mile Run Park. One area which TPFR members fish a lot. I'm assuming the pizza being offered won't be part of the 'pizza hatch' from a few weeks ago when random slices of cheese pizza were floating downstream.

The Northern VA Conservation Trust and City of Alexandria will be hosting an Open Space Festival on Saturday, May 31st at the Conservatory (big red building) in Four Mile Run Park. As part of this event, NVCT will be hosting a cleanup along the trail from 3:30 to 5:30pm. After the cleanup, there will be pizza and refreshments and we are going to show the movie Green Fire, which is about legendary conservationist Aldo Leopold. We would appreciate it greatly if you would pass this info along to your fishing companions- we would love to see you all for the cleanup and film on the 31st!
Maybe some of the TPFR members with waders can help with some of the shore cleanup.
That is also the day of the Snakehead Tournament so I won't be able to make it.

There was a prolific bread hatch at Gravelly yesterday.
