As some of you may have know I have recently left arlington to pursue my masters at James Madison University here in the Shenandoah valley. While I certainly miss the camaraderie the fly fishing
community in the tidal Potomac regain, the fishing in general down here is
outstanding.
The best part
is that the Shenandoah region is only 2 hours away.
Definitely doable.
Lately I’ve been cutting my teeth on mossy creek, where you
need a stealth approach, the right fly, extra fine tippet, and a great cast to
make it all come together.
But
when it does…
BAMMM…
These are some fun fish.
I’ve also had luck on smallmouth
(though not in mossy) and native brook trout, which are just the prettiest
little things imaginable.
Anyways, I decided to make a move / slideshow of fishing at
mossy and I hope you all enjoy it.

If anyone is down in the region and needs a place to crash
please feel free to PM me. I don’t
mind at all.
Once again, sorry for getting off topic but you gotta fish
where you live
