Me and a few buddies are looking to do a guided fly trip in the everglades / flamingo area to hopefully get into snook, tarpon, etc...

Was wondering if anybody has done this before and/or can recommend a guide.

thanks,
Jason

Capt. Jason Sullivan <risingtid...@gmail.comhttps://risingtidecharters.com/    is a great guide.  I"ve been to flamingo with him I think for 5 days total over the last 4 years (we did one day of freshwater everglades bass as well - excellent).  Caught a big tarpon on fly (long time goal), but the baby tarpon (5-15 lbs) are even more fun on a fly rod, along with snook, redfish and a few other species..  He has good gear, accommodates schedules, and generally fun.  There are 2 different experiences out of Flamingo, the mangroves and the wide open bay - I prefer the mangroves, but we caught some great redfish on the bay.  If there are more than 2 of you, I'm sure he'll have some recommendations for other guides.
Email me and I can do a call if you want more info.

Late reply here, but hope you find someone and report back. I've had pretty mediocre luck using semi-random guides found on google, and have done much better with word of mouth referrals. I've fished with a guide in that area but he's moved away, so he's no help. I haven't fished with either, but heard good things from a few people on Capt. Jason Sullivan and Capt. Jeff Legutki, though I think Legutki launches from West of the park.

Good luck!

Now that I'm settled down in Miami, I just took a trip out of Flamingo this past Saturday with Patrick Callea (716-228-5478, IG: patrickcallea, ptca...@hotmail.com / www.miamifishingcompany.com). He works out of the Fly Shop of Miami, too, so has great local knowledge. He was a lot of fun to fish with. We had pretty tough conditions (tons of wind - seems to be my thing that I only pick high wind days to fish with guides), but he knew where to go to hide from it and still put me on fish. Also appreciated that he called me up the day before to give me the option to fish or not since the conditions were gonna be tough, rather than just taking me for a boat ride. Patrick fishes all over South Florida too, and can put you in Biscayne Bay if you prefer to go for bones and permit.
