I am headed up to Pulaski in two weeks, seeking to fish for Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead and Brown Trout on the two handed rod.

I got room in my truck if someone would like to join me.

I will be doing this on the cheap, tent camping at Fox Hollow Lodge (as soon as I get a confirmation of availability), cooking breakfast on a Coleman camp stove, taking lunch on the river, eating in town at night.

You can email me at   reg...@mindspring.com  if you are interested in coming along.

Fox Hollow is a great place to stay.  I always used to stay in the main lodge.  Have met some real characters there.

I can't remember what it is called but the bar right at the altmar bridge in the lower fly has great wings.

Regan, have you seen the reports that the NYSDEC has decided to reduce the water flows on the Salmon from current 335cfs to 185cfs starting tomorrow despite the forcasted rain. The folks at Whitaker's who I spoke with this morning are not happy and said fishing will be significantly impacted. I've decided to cancel my trip up there for next week until conditions change.

The fish will still run at 185 especially if there is some rain.  It is almost October, they aren't going to wait forever.  The biggest problem with those flows is it makes it that much easier for the snaggers and less likely that the fish will eat a fly.

FYI, they are closing the Lower Fly Zone for a bit due to low water levels.  https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/NYSDEC/bulletins/16822b1#.V-6WMj7hI-8.facebook
