Are the shad still running?

Howdy all,

I had a great day on the river a few weeks back, but haven't had the time to return.  I'm curious if anyone has been down to the Potomac recently and had continued luck with shad.

I did pretty well last Tuesday with Hickories despite the cold water, and heard good reports from the weekend--lots of Americans. The perch have also shown up and will take your shad flies. Get out there!

I was out on Friday. Got a bunch of hickories and one really nice sided American.

Great news! Headed to Fletcher's tomorrow around lunchtime for a "personal issue that may take all afternoon."

Was there yesterday with a crowd of Shad experts -- Mike Bailey and Mike Alper there too, etc.  They were all over the place with Americans about 10% of whole in slack water at north end of cove.  Who knows what today's late rain will do??
