Great Seneca Creek - MD

Has anyone ever fished Great Seneca Creek in MD?  Just got an email from MD DNR Fisheries that it's been stocked.

I've been up there before but never had a ton of luck with trout. they bucket stock at the bridges between berryville rd and riffle ford rd in the spring. I assume the fall stocking may be more centrally located at one or two of the main roads. Its a nice place to explore locally and i've been told you'll find some good fishing the further you hike from the bridges. You may find some decent small mouth in there too. 

be careful if you step in at berryville rd. the nice hole right at the pull off is about 8 feet deep. I learned this the hard way last december.

Thanks for the advise Rob.  Seems like anytime i ask about a stocked creek, people always say "never had much luck there".

We went this evening. 

Didn't make it past the first bend upstream from Black Rock Road. 

Saw 3x as many fisherman as trout, but we did see a few small trout.
