CI Test Dates

Looking for information on where/when I can take my CI test? Aren't tests usually administered at the Lancaster and Somerset shows? All I can find on the FFI website are for tests out in the Pacific NW or in Florida. Any help appreciated, know this is pretty specific question.

Call the FFI office. The real people there used to be  very helpful. Getting a test date was not easy. They book up ‘way in advance.

Thanks for bringing this up, it seems that there are no conveniently scheduled testing dates in our region at all currently. As a board member of the Chesapeake Council of FFI, we've communicated with FFI headquarters and expressed concern with the lack of testing in the Mid-Atlantic region and even the lack of "certified" testers after the implementation of Examiner Development Pathway (EDP) program. We believe that the EDP program has served to limit testing opportunities and have told FFI as much in official communication, including the Chairman of the Board and another board member of FFI. The response has been that they understand our concerns and will discuss it further.

From my understanding, the Fly Fishing Shows at Somerset, NJ and Lancaster, PA did not have testing opportunities in 2017, and are not on the calendar to have testing in 2018 either. See the calendar here: https://flyfishersinternational.org/Casting/CalendarofEvents/tabid/616/Default.aspx
