The title of this post should probably have said "Body Found at Chain Bridge." Big assumption that the murder occurred there (still a lot of details missing). Sad story, and a little scary for those of us who frequent that area during the shad run.

I was on the river above Fletchers and just south of Chain Bridge for several hours until it got dark on Saturday.  I was wondering what happened there were about a dozen police, FR, etc. vehicles parked along the canal at the bridge.  

Could be that the body was dumped there, but admit that I have not felt totally comfortable with some of the crew that is there spearing, netting and using massive hooks to foul-hook migrating fish.  

Have thought about bringing protection and certainly will moving forward.

That's terrible. Perhaps there will be a follow up story on the lack of enforcement of fishing regs and littering laws too.

Still sketchy, trashy, illegal fishing and muddy. Still...pretty good.
