I hadn’t heard this. Animal your words are on point. Brad was (and is) terrific. The Family and Youth Casting Call was a wonderful event and I hope someone picks it up. Thanks Brad. If you have a minute could you tell this group where you are going and what you will be doing? It’s been a pleasure to know you,
Al

Subject: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Shoutout and Thanks to Brad Gentner
For those of you not aware, Brad is leaving the area soon. He has done a tremendous amount of work on behalf of our local natural resources and I'm sure he will continue to do so in his new/old fishing holes out west. I'm especially appreciative of his successful effort at keeping the Family and Youth Casting Call on afloat. Thanks Brad. Good Luck!

Aww thanks Mike, Al and Gene (you'll get your endorsement checks soon)! I'll be moving West (finally) before Christmas. I plan to spend my winters in AZ and my summers driving up and down the Rockies with a flyrod.
The FYCC event is still on for 2014 and we have a permit for May 2nd and 3rd. CCA Maryland is taking the helm and all the same partners are back to help. We may have even attracted some additional industry interest this year. I will still be involved in the background, and, who knows, may show up for the event itself. Hard to leave that thing.
I'm going to try and make the Beer Tie on Monday. With less than 2 weeks until departure, my schedule is a little bonkers however.
We'll see how long Dan leaves that picture up given the recent grip and grin takedown. This is a family list after all...
