Headed out to SNP yesterday with my buddy Kyle to try and
connect with our first fish of the year. It was a beautiful day and I landed my
first fish of the year, a gorgeous brown trout (pictured below). And Kyle got
his first fish as well including the good looking Brookie pictured below. It was a
mix bag of Browns and Brooks, all on nymphs.

Nice. Beautiful fish.
I snuck out Sunday and got my first 2016 fish- see attached. Taken off one of Snowhites' BWO hot spot little Klink hammer flies size 24 and on my bloody three weight. Good times.

Nice Justin -- I respect people who "fish" rather than just "talk about fishing". I work next to a guy who hasn't bike commuted in 5 years, but people still come and talk him up about their commute, the trails, etc. all the time. Same thing.

I headed south to see family and worked my way north from Jacksonville to Charleston and then Wilmington. Wound up ending 2015 and starting 2016 with a fish slowly becoming my favorite quarry…

PS – Gents, when fishing trout streams after the November spawn, stay out of the water please until the end of March. The risk of squashing eggs and later alevin is too great.

This is becoming a pretty neat topic. Pretty fish guys --
I'm always jealous of good redfish pictures. I rarely get out to the salt (4 times total I think) and haven't really had a "fishy" day out there to be honest.
