I have the Eagle Claw Featherlight 6-Feet 6-Inch rod rigged up with 3 wt line and it is quite fun to fish with.  It's like casting a noodle sometimes, but it works great in tight spaces like the smaller Shenandoah streams and spring creeks in PA.

No experience with Wade Co. But I think District Angling normally has a couple of Butter Sticks in stock and they have a decent price point, i have a 3wt that i just love. But if you want to go real cheap try a Eagle Claw Featherlight. They are like $40 and a lot of fun. Also the Cabelas CGRs are pretty cheap.

if you haven't already check out thefiberglassmanifesto.com

Any one have any experience with Wade rods? I've been curious about glass lately but i'm not looking to spend $500+ on another rod (yet).

I can't tell if these are actually good rods or if they just have fancy marketing.

The eagle claw featherlight 5 or 6wt 8' 2piece glass rod is like 40 bucks and is hilariously fun to use.

I used it a lot in Charleston for Reds and had a ton of fun trying to break it candy caning it on larger fish. Never gave out. 10/10 for the price point. Works okay for canal carp too, but waving a bright yellow stick around them isn't super ideal.

Agree about the Eagle claw glass rods. Put a mask on and have a blind test with $800 graphite rods, and bamboo rods.

Also worth checking out Moonlit. I have the 3wt and love it. Great value for under $200.

Agree that it's also worth checking out the Fiberglass Manifesto. Lots of great info there.

I bought a 7.5 foot 4 wt Eagle Claw a couple of months ago at Sportsmans Warehouse for about 33 bucks - great fun to fish with!
