In today's world of GoPros, other action video cameras, and DSLRs, it is easier than ever to put up clips on the line. Anyone local like to get out and film fishing sessions just for the hell of it? If so, what kind of setup works for you? I have a few GoPros and a DSLR that I have been experimenting with for the last year, and would like to get some nicely edited shorts out during the next year or so.

Filmed and edited this pretty easily. Basically just used a head mount (similar to headlamp). I think the mount actually came with my Hero2. Unfortunately I was very new to fly fishing at this point and i got totally skunked on the trip. The gunpowder is a really beautiful place though and worth the trip if it is the right time of year.

Nick,

Sorry for the delay in response, I've been tied up at work the past week or so without much downtime. Love the video! Was everything filmed with the Hero2? It looks like you dedicated yourself to take the required time necessary to set up good shots. I'm always kicking myself for wasted time fiddling with cameras when I get skunked on a trip while filming.

Derek,

Yup! Everything was shot using my Hero2, it was somewhat difficult trying to put such a small camera in good positions to make good shots. There isnt a viewfinder or a display screen on it so you kind of have to know the camera before you can use it efficiently. I think the video could have been a lot better for the amount of time I spent trying to film that day. If I hadn't spent so much time filming I probably would have actually caught some fish!

I enjoy filming though and in the end it was worth it. The Gun Powder is beautiful!
