Does the penny need to be in each photo? It's hard to aim the camera with slippery fingers in the sun to get the whole thing in the frame.

Hi Casey, 

The purpose of the penny is just to ensure that the competitor printed the ruler to the correct scale, so my ruling would be no, it does not have to be in the photo. We will trust your honor that the penny was attached and the scale was correct.
