Can anyone give me a river color report? Thinking of floating a section tomorrow and haven't driven over the river in weeks. I've checked the gauges and specific conductance looks a little iffy.

Out my window, it looks nice and green, maybe a little high.

Much obliged. It is higher than I want it to be for my favorite float, (Brunswick to Lander), but a good buddy is in town and wants to do it.

Floated the south fork shenandoah yesterday around Luray, and it was lovely, if you need a backup plan.

How is that Brunswick to Lander float?

Awesome. Great habitat. Long pace water, rock gardens, good shoreline structure, good aquatic vegetation in places. It is only about 4 miles which you can do quickly, or spend hours fishing. We've caught just about everything in that stretch. From there to Point of Rocks adds about another 4 miles and has the more fun whitewater, but I think the Brunswick to Lander is better fishing. River and Trail Outfitters will do the shuttle for you and rents boats for the float to Point of Rocks. They used to do the shuttle to Lander, but they don't anymore.

Color was fine today.  No problem catching smallmouth on tubes in the Fletcher's area today.
