Summer has hit hard this year.

Usually August is a rough month, I'm wondering what has been doing well for people?  Are the smallmouth still active?

Was showing how to fish a bugger today at Four Mile Run. New gloves I bought from Art the other day.

Black size 4 with orange hot bead.

South Florida. I got back to DC Thursday and my first thought when I walked out of he terminal was, "god is it hot here".

Wet wading in the mid 90s can actually be somewhat comfortable, so long as most of your lower half is in contact with the water and you move occasionally.

While wet wading is doable. I usually refer to it as swimming in a bathtub.  The water is not as refreshing as you might expect.
I guess it beats standing out of the water.

Is that down by the bridge....or more up toward the outflow?  Rising or falling tide?

Nice bass.

Cheers

I fished the South Fork near Luray this weekend and did ok on both top water and streamers. It was one of those days where the fishing would do for a stretch and then just drop off. I also did ok wading on the North Fork at Strasbourg.
