7 Springs PA

Has anyone stayed at and/or fished Seven Springs (http://www.7springs.com/adventures/fly-fishing/)? I am looking at places to take my Dad in the next few months and was considering this place. It is Orvis endorsed (which I have found does not necessarily mean much) and has access to many spring feed ponds and lakes and has some river access. Appreciate any info!

We did a family trip up there a few years back and stayed near the 7 Springs Resort in a rental. Fished the stocked section of Laurel Hill Creek with my girlfirend and old man. Was a nice trip and a great area. Theres a partnership up there that put together the Laurel Highlands Trout Trail. Link here: http://www.lhtrouttrail.com/

There are rumors that there are some good trout streams up that way, but no one will seem to let you know where they are.  They are all called noseeum creek or fishless run when you talk to anyone from up there.  Let us know if it works out for you.  It's the right distance for a weekend trip.   

Considering the distance from DC being similar I would look up toward central PA and Penns Creek or the Little Juniata.  Just avoid going when Penn State has a home game.  Lodging becomes a bit scarce up there.
